Bence Launch the HART Major Incident Response Vehicles at the National Association of Police Fleet Managers (NAPFM)
Bence recently exhibited the first set of three vehicles which are soon to be deployed as part of the Department of Health Hazardous Area Response Team project (HART). The three vehicles included the Command Vehicle, the Reconnaissance Vehicle and the Equipment Carrying Vehicle which are part of a framework agreement which was awarded to WH Bence recently. The units will be delivered to Ambulance Trusts throughout England during the next three years and work has already commenced on set two, three and four.
The framework agreement (Reference No. CM/FMT/07/4729) is open to all emergency services agencies in England and is also accessible by emergency services agencies in Scotland and Wales.
WH Bence also demonstrated a larger Command and Control Unit recently delivered to Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service. This unit was based on a 15 tonne Mercedes Atego chassis and provides an internal operational area for four personnel, together with a briefing area for up 18. The accommodation area is further extended by a fully enclosed awning.
WH Bence worked with their technology partner, Excelerate Technology Limited, based in Cardiff. Both companies have now worked in partnership on several key projects.
